Our Story

Wow.
A simple word we often say without thinking.
A word for something beautiful, surprising, unforgettable.

For Kino, everything began with that word.

Long before there were hundreds of loyal clients sharing Kino coffee in their homes, their mornings, and their quiet conversations, there were only two friends and a simple habit, meeting for coffee. They shared many things in life, but coffee was the one ritual they never missed. They loved the aroma, the warmth, the comfort of a cup… yet each of them always drank it their own way.

Until one cold, rainy night.

They met, as they often did, to talk about things that had nothing to do with coffee. But as always, the conversation found its way back to the cup.

“I brought something special,” one of them said softly.
“A peaberry from Tanzania. Roasted just last week.”

Then silence.

The gentle sound of the grinder slowly filled the room, breaking the quiet with the rhythm every coffee lover knows. Fresh grounds fell like dark sand, rich with aroma. Hot water touched the coarse coffee in the Chemex, and soon the first bubbles began to bloom on the surface, a quiet dance of life and flavor. Slowly, drop by drop, the deep amber liquid filled the glass vessel below. It looked almost like a fine, aged wine, bold, elegant, alive.

The coffee was ready.

The first sip came… and with it, a moment that would change everything.

“Wow.”

A pause.
Another sip.
